Is anyone here a member of consumerlab.com? I want to see their top-ranked water pitcher for filtering out microplastics

Is it really the Brita? Brita can’t even filter out lead

I suck for not knowing this earlier

Wouldn’t a water distiller be the best choice? It evaporates the water leaving all particulates behind, and then recondenses the water into a container.

ideally yes, but too much effort for most people. a water filter like this is an easy 90/10

These pitchers are all made out of plastic.

Brita SOHO with LongLast filter was Consumer Lab Top Pick.

What are all of your current thinking on this?

I’m trying to figure out which among the following I should go ahead with:

  1. Distilled water/RO + remineralization → I wouldn’t have considered distilled water but I realized that they can actually be cheaper than RO with affordable countertop variants based at least on Amazon results even though I haven’t heard of most brands. Distillation is however more time/energy consuming.

  2. Clearly → Finding it hard to trust the many different claims by water pitcher products.

Y’all have had any experience with either?
