Inulin fibre promotes microbiota-derived bile acids and type 2 inflammation

When mice are fed inulin fiber, their intestines and lungs develop hallmark features of type 2 inflammation, including elevated levels of IL‑33 (an alarmin cytokine), activation of type 2 innate lymphoid cells (ILC2s), and eosinophilia. Moreover, in models of allergic disease (such as house dust mite‑induced asthma) or parasitic infection, inulin further exacerbates these pathological responses.

these data reveal that dietary inulin fibre triggers microbiota-derived cholic acid and type 2 inflammation

I don’t like it either, or it doesn’t like me. Anyhow, we’ve parted ways.
