Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy is the most powerful Anti Aging measure you can take according to Bryan Johnson

I was thinking of getting a pressurized chamber for home use with 2.0 ATA, as this was also used in the studies.

Studies:

:brain: 1. Cognitive Performance Enhancement in Older Adults
In a randomized, controlled study involving 63 healthy adults over the age of 64, HBOT demonstrated significant improvements in areas such as attention, information processing speed, and executive functions. These cognitive enhancements were accompanied by increased regional cerebral blood flow in specific brain areas.

:dna: 2. Telomere Lengthening and Reduction of Senescent Cells
Another study investigated the effects of HBOT at the cellular level. In 35 healthy adults over the age of 64, HBOT led to a significant lengthening of telomeres in immune cells by up to 37% and a reduction in senescent T helper cells by more than 37%. This suggests that HBOT may be able to reverse cellular aging processes.

:man_running: 3. Improvement of Physical Performance
In a randomized, controlled study with 63 older adults, HBOT led to significant improvements in maximal oxygen uptake (VOâ‚‚max), anaerobic threshold, and maximal physical performance. These improvements were supported by increased cardiac perfusion, as demonstrated by cardiac MRIs.

Looking forward to your feedback!

Seems promising. I’d want to trial it out first but it’s something I would love to have in my home some time in the future if I can afford it.

I like the one Bryan has because you can use electronics inside of it without risk of fire.

All sounds a little too good. The control group did not have any intervention. I bet if the controls would also have to sit still with a mask on for 90 min a day, a sort of meditation, the results would be a little more interesting. So, for now this is just a new fashion wave starting, with the usual hype. Less oxygen, like high altitude, is still the way for anti aging. That instead more oxygen is suddenly supposedly better, well, that should need a good explanation and surely depends on only getting it for relatively short periods.

But if I buy it for my home, I can use it every day, all year round. I don’t think it’s just another hype. The results are extremely promising. I’ve also heard that many German doctors use it to treat a variety of illnesses. In my opinion, this goes far beyond just being a hype.

Nobody said “just being hype”!
There is no proper control group.
Any new intervention that cannot be blinded, where the participants actually actively participate, even just putting a mask on for 90 minutes daily for 12 weeks, will have a positive effect. Isn’t even placebo in this case, but a real little meditation exercise.

It is more than a breathing exercise. This is mainly a HIF 1 α thing.

Wat is a typical treatment? How frequent? What duration?

If you can afford this and have a place for it, I think it would be great. The evidence is that it has many positive benefits.

As, for many of us, it would be unaffordable.
Doing it commercially would be too time-consuming because of the business hours that commercial locations have, and it would be too expensive to do for any extended time.

where would you buy one ? I recommend ones with masks to prevent eye damages from the oxygen and 2.0 SATA min

Think first about what partial pressure of oxygen you are looking for and how most effectively to get it.

I will buy this one: o2air® VIP – O2 Air

Although it is quite expensive, it is the market leader in Europe, which is important since I am from Germany.

It features ATA 2.0, the same configuration used in studies conducted in Israel. They also offer oxygen masks.

ATA 2.0 refers to the pressure.

Is there anything else I should consider?

You need to consider the partial pressure of oxygen. ATA 2.0 is the overall pressure of 2 x atmospheric.

I did a comparison of the effect of various challenges of partial pressure of oxygen.

You can increase the partial pressure of oxygen without higher general pressures.

I’ve mentioned previously that I believe in HBOT.
I have a mild1.3 ATA oxyhealth at home and have used it consistently for nearly 3 years (with breaks).

Unfortunately I haven’t been consistent with data, tests,
monitoring, etc. so I can’t prove benefit, but I’d say the same about everything I do (rapa, supplements, red light, saunas, cryo, compression, fasting, pemf, etc.)

My opinion is that HBOT has helped with minor aches, injuries, skin health, relaxation & HR reduction & HRV increase (some evidence with Oura/garmin), but its biggest benefit has been in aerobic function.

I am currently athletically doing things I’ve never dreamed of such as winning a legit half marathon division last month (my first half and the longest distance I’ve run in my life). The recovery and mitochondria assist from hbot made this possible IMO.

I think home use of mild HBOT is great. Not scary. I often have phone accessible and listen to podcasts or do work on occasion. Or nap as it’s very relaxing….

I did about 10 sessions in a hard chamber 2.0 ATA prior to getting the soft home chamber and prefer its accessibility and convenience…plus studies are showing benefits in mild too.
