Yeah, wait until you’re 80. Old men have no butts. :sweat_smile: The muscle is there, but the fat padding is gone.

Wait a second… is that why hard chairs are suddenly so uncomfortable to sit on?! But seriously, losing the padding with age is unpleasant in many ways. I recently read a book by a 99 year old, and she mentioned how with age you lose the padding in your feet(!), and now your bones are very close to your skin and it’s painful to walk, you need really soft shoes. In general, muscoskeletal related complaints are the #1 complaint category for older people. So, keep exercising, including resistance, because once you become disabled and limited in your ADL, you go downhill very fast, QOL disappears and with it any reason and motivation to keep on living.
