Thank you. Do you know of a good place to order other fillers by chance? I need it all hahaha! My first experience with juvederm was fine but the second one wasn’t as good although different people did the injections. My face just doesn’t quite match my more youthful than average physique and how feel if that makes sense?
Just wondering if you followed up on using (GLY14)-HUMANIN. I could not find a lot on it. Also wondering how you might access it.
I forgot about this one. My supplier did not have any in stock when I was preparing that order and it slipped off my radar.
It’s an interesting mitochondrial derived peptide

For anyone interested, here is Dr Brad’s latest video on how to prevent skin aging.
Nothing much new here, but I did learn a little bit about spf
@RapAdmin I read you’d like us to include AI summaries with video posts, but alas, I have no idea how to do that… maybe you can give a quick tutorial?
He mentioned the ‘potential’ dangers of having chemical spf absorbed in our skin, and he listed the ones to pay attention to (I’ll post the screenshot)… he listed the Korean spf brands he feels are safe due to their active ingredient being too big to be absorbed by the skin (this is what I’ve wondered about because we hear so many people say zinc is safest). His opinion is if you don’t have access to the non US spf ingredients, then he’d use zinc, and he likes Cerave.
He said adapalene, which can be less irritating than tretinoin, was shown to be as effective (this was not what I was told, so this was useful)
Really easy - just go to this website, copy and paste the URL of the video, and click on “Summarize” Krisp | Free Youtube Video Summarizer with AI
Yes … another new paper on this topic:
Use of Verteporfin to Regrow Hair and Reduce Fibrosis after Transplantation
Verteporfin isFDA-approved for wet macular degeneration. Recent Stanford research has revealed a novel use for verteporfin promoting scarless skin regeneration by inhibition of Yes-associated protein (YAP), preventing the activation of En1-positive fibroblasts causingscars [1-7]. A 27-year-oldfemale underwent uncomplicated transplantation of one thousand grafts was placed. After donor removal, subject received 1 cc of 1mg/cm verteporfin on right side ofincision and no treatment in the left. Neosporin ointment was used postoperatively on the donor area for one week and subject instructed to avoid direct sunlight for 10 days. Patienthealed well. Baseline density was measured on the donor site to be 13x18 mm. At one monthcontrol density was 12x16 and intervention was 14x18 with objectively increased density. At 8 weeks, control density remained 12x16 and intervention was 20x21 with similar textured hair but denser compared to control.

That’s fantastic. I would’ve pegged you for 40ish
Thank you, Steve. This is how most ppl see me.
for frown lines does anyone know anything else alongside botox that supports it? Ive heard people use tape during sleep but not sure how well that works
Along the lines (see what I did there) of tape, some people use silicone patches.
I have not tried either but have heard they work somewhat.
Update for Profhilo that I used for hands. Great result lasted exactly 3 days, then the product was apparently absorbed without leaving any trace of improvement. Complete waste of money and time. Won’t buy again.
I just received my profhilo and it was a very easy process to order from the site you recommended and arrived surprisingly fast considering the package says it came from France. It came DHL and there was no customs clearance process or tariffs applied which I was pleased about as well. I’m a newbie at ordering skin treatments online but $150 usd (including shipping) seemed reasonable enough to me. Thank you so much for the help!
Glad it worked for you. Keep us posted about Profhilo. Don’t expect immediate changes though. It also have to be repeated in a month for better results. Good luck!
After listening to the recent Peter Attia episode with two dermatologist/surgeons, three things that struck me were:
-
We have a LOT of really good solutions for making the skin texture/surface look better. Lots of ways to clear acne. Botox for wrinkles, vitamin C, niacinamide for texture and tone, retinoids for wrinkles and anti-aging.
-
Fat loss in the face is a major issue. I had kinda underestimated this one, but as soon as they said it, I appreciated how true it is. As we age, fat distribution shifts, and the metabolic profiles of that fat also change - so you gain fat on the stomach and lose it under your eyes. Lovely. Supposedly fat grafting is the best option for that (though the guest is a specialist in doing fat grafts, so maybe some bias there).
-
Bone loss in the face is a huge deal. I hadn’t even considered this one. But this is what causes a lot of the sagging, and particularly around the jaw where the bone recedes. And there is not a whole lot you can do about it. Hormone replacement therapy was given as one thing that can delay this (for both men and women). Has anybody had experience with that?
Oh my sweet sweet young man ha!
Losing fat in your face is almost the entire ball of wax. That is why chubby people usually look younger, even if less healthy. And it’s why the young girls with cute baby fat who are removing it to have more sculpted faced like Bella Hadid are gonna be in a world of hurt in a few decades.
As I learned from the late great Barbara Walters, when you get older, you have to choose between your ass and your face.
With a good injector and the right filler product, you can recreate lost cheekbones and even jaws (or create things you’ve never had!).
Another filler hack that even someone less skilled can do well is filling in the temples that get sunken as we age. It makes a significant difference but no one can pinpoint what you’ve done unless they are in the know. I no longer have any filler, but I really need to do that area again!
The only downside I know about injecting ones own fat is it’s very imprecise and you don’t know what is going to stick… you often have to go back and do it again. I didn’t ask why, but the surgeon I consulted said I was not a good candidate for it, even though he often does it to other people.
On another note, I bought the Musely rapa serum in March and I had zero intention of buying again. I’ve just been trying to use it up as to not waste. Well, I have suddenly noticed that my old age acquired large pores are now a little less huge. I don’t know if it can be attributed to anything I’m taking internally, and that is the only new topical I’m using, so I think I might try one more bottle.
Is this the sunscreen you recommend? Amazon.com: Relief Sun Organic Sunscreen SPF50+, PA++++ Rice and Probiotics | Korean Skin Care Solution for All Skin Types | Nourishing Protection(FX198) : Beauty & Personal Care
I’m so glad you asked because that is a fake! If you look closely, you won’t see the brand name on there.
You can’t buy this on amazon or any other US store
You can have it sent from Stylevana.
Here is a link the original :
And here is a link to the one that came out last year.
The aqua is also very popular and has a little less moisture, so depending on your skin, you might prefer this
I prefer the original (but I think both are great but more moisture is better for me)
Brad Stanfield is loving the new Aqua version
Just know this company is not like nordstroms and you might get it in 2 weeks, or 5 weeks. Etc.
Hahaha, yeah, this just isn’t something I knew about or had ever really thought about. But as soon as they said it, it is now super obvious. Especially the jaw shrinkage in women and the expanding eye sockets. And yeah, getting fat sucked out of your face seems like madness in the long-term. I assume the plan is to maximise her earnings when she’s younger and just stop caring when she’s older
That Barbara Walters quote is brilliant - love it!
I’m pretty new to taking care of my skin. I have theoretical knowledge about the skin, but very little experience with the various ingredients, products and procedures.
