I often see people reach incorrect conclusion about doses of supplements and drugs because they read some animal study and then incorrectly calculate how high of a dose a human would need to get the same effect.
The problem is rooted in the use of incorrect scaling factors between animals and humans and is common even among respected scientists. I have also seen this mistake in peer-reviewed published studies numerous times.
