Gene therapies currently available

Its really sad we dont see more publication about telomerase therapy. Its really promising…
did the csv telomerase therapy from bioviva finally treat some people ?

This is new. Triple gene therapy now available at 20% the price that Bioviva was offering. Ie $75k now, for follistatin, klotho, and Sirt-1. AAV vector. They claim it will last 15 - 20 years. I think you have to be over 50 or they won’t take you.

I wish they had included hTert :frowning:

I’m always a little concerned with the AAV vector. It can integrate anywhere… so could potentially disrupt another gene. I wonder what the precise risk of “off-target” effects are?

Agreed. Personally I’ll wait for better and safer vectors. I hope Bioviva gets CMV working soon.

Meanwhile there’s a GMP injectable klotho available that I might try.

Your concern is valid, but recombinant AAVs mostly remain episomal… low-frequency integration can occur, yet no clear case of AAV-mediated insertional oncogenesis has been documented in humans to date, so the real safety focus should be dose, tissue targeting, immune toxicity and long-term monitoring.

Integrated Health System seems to perform it since a long time. Not sure if its legit yet ?
