Garlic’s golden secret: Power-packed benefits of raw, empty stomach consumption

This is thought to be the effect of allicin which as an HS donor can help creating new mitochondria.

I do this quite often. It massively boosts the immune system. But the garlic has to be freshly crushed, rather than chopped, unless you want to chew it, to release the allicin. The article says either, but chopping doesn’t release as much as crushing. I then lay down for about 20 min.

“Cutting a garlic clove breaks its cells and releases stored enzymes that react with oxygen. That triggers healthy sulfide compounds, such as allicin, to form. Letting the chopped garlic stand for 10 to 15 minutes before cooking allows the compounds to fully develop before heat inactivates the enzymes.”
