Drugs That Slow Aging in Mice: the NIA Interventions Testing Program

This is a good overview of the NIA ITP program by Richard Miller (the leader of the program) for anyone new to the project and who wants to understand why we put so much more emphasis on the studies done by the NIA ITP program, vs. the small one-off longevity studies done by different labs on different compounds.

The one-off mouse studies are typically small numbers of mice, may or may not have control mice, and typically are not repeated by any other independent labs. The reliability of these one-off longevity compound tests are much lower than the NIA ITP program results…

These are the gold standard of longevity drugs. ITP testing is rigorous and is not corporate sponsored.

If you are looking for longevity boosters, the ITP is the best source to find them.
