Friends or contacts who live not too far from you, in the US, are perhaps an option. People have reported this approach working, picking up the medications when they visit their friends.
Thank you for this suggestion… no people I know who live nearby in the States, but this parcel pick up depot is for Canadians to send purcased items in the States. Then pick them up there, rather than having them shippped to Canada and paying that additional fee. Here’s hoping this will work for the parcel from India. Who could have known how difficult it would be to purchase such a (fairly) safe medication?
Please post information on this option so others can easily identify it. What is the name of the company that provides this parcel pickup depot? Where do they have offices?
I use ipostal1 virtual mailbox. Ship to
It from India and then arrange to pick up. They have multiple locations.
The place I use is actually in a building supply called “Wellesley Island Building Supply” - just a couple of miles south of the Canadian / U.S. border at the St. Lawrence River Bridge crossing. You sign up for the space there - some people ship patio sets there!!! It’s called KinekPoints. You sign up, and they provide a number for you, which you use when you have a company ship your items there instead of to Canada. If you are buying from a U.S. company, the cross border shipping and taxes are pretty high. This saves all that.
Here is the website to sign up… you can see their locations so you can choose. Good luck!!
They have a smartphone app that you can manage your packages with.
Received my first container of Rapamycin from Healthspan at the KinekPoint. Took the first 3 mg dose today, with grapefruit juice.
Yahoo!! Just wish I had known about this a lot earlier. At 76, this is a late start. Just hoping to feel less pain and more energy. Have pretty severe arthritis. Have always been active, but limited in recent years by pain. Thanks for reading!!
Congrats!! Rapa has been life changing for me, so I hope it will be for you, too!
Incase it’s helpful, I started LDN a few months ago for longevity reasons but have since learned it helps a lot of people with chronic pain. I have no idea if it would help you, but since there are so many benefits to this drug, perhaps it’s worth investigating?
FWIW, there are less expensive options, but this seems like a good place to start considering you just started with them.
Thank you very much for taking the time for this, Beth!! Although I’m gradually working toward eliminating my pain medication (2nd knee replacement on the same knee - 3 months of recovery so far. Unfortunately I’m an Arthrofibrosis scar generator), at this present time, I still find the pain too great to do without it completely. I have reduced it significantly, but still have times when it’s necessary. For that reason, LDN is not an option for me. I’m keeping it on my list for when I can eliminate the pain meds. Thank you again for taking the time to mention this.
By the way, my hope is that the Rapamycin will help to reduce the Arthrofibrosis (it has some anti-fibrotic properties) and the inflammation. That will help a great deal.
