Dietary Recommendations for Rapamycin Dose Days: Managing Digestive Changes

Hey everyone,

Like many others who take Rapamycin on a weekly or bi-weekly basis, I’ve noticed some mild digestive changes, particularly diarrhea, on the day of the dose. I’m reaching out to this community to gather some insights and recommendations on how to best manage this.

Does anyone have specific foods that they find helpful to eat on the day of taking Rapamycin? Alternatively, are there certain foods that you avoid to minimize digestive upset? I’m looking for practical advice on how to adjust my diet to better cope with these side effects.

Also, if anyone has any general tips or strategies for dealing with these digestive changes, I’d greatly appreciate hearing about them. Your experiences and insights could be a big help not just to me, but to others experiencing similar issues.

Thanks in advance for sharing your thoughts and advice!

Best regards,

High rates of Rapa do cause digestive issues as described. You might need to dial it back or do a blood test to see if you’re getting what you think.

What do you mean by “high”? It seems that the “normal” weekly 6mg or bi-weekly 10-12mg do this to a lot of people, also less. This is what I am referring to. Its just a side effect to be dealt with. Any recommendations on diet on the dose day?

I notice it when I go above 4+GFJ biweekly.
