regarding reaction byproducts, hydrogen peroxide and glyoxylate are naturally present in biofluids and efficiently cleared by metabolic enzymes.

This scenario seens dangerous to me. It isn’t really a small amount in the active tissue, where now multitude of pinpoint reactions result in the focally concentrated amounts of hydrogen peroxide and glyoxylic acid in the tissue, resulting in a wave of oxidative damage…
