I had planned to schedule a Cleerly exam to coincide with future travel to where it is available. After listening to the most recent Optispan Episode (#112) on the topic I became aware of an issue that really bothers me. The Cleerly Provider Report contains a lot of data not contained in the patient report.
Does someone have a contact at Cleerly that can defend/explain why patients (even ones that self pay due to lack of insurance coverage) are not provided with complete results. Matt Kaemberlein seems to be bothered by this as well.
For those that have completed a Cleerly exam did your doctor provide you with a copy of the provider report?
Take a look at what I posted. I think it’s pretty comprehensive. Though I never got any screen access that let me twirl my arteries around.
I had the CCTA done at SimonMed, and they sent the result to Cleerly for analysis. SimonMed sent me nothing from Cleerly, and there is no one at SimonMed who takes responsibility for getting you the result, at least if you’re a patient. All calls go to Manila, and let’s just say that’s suboptimal.
I had to contact Cleerly to see if my report was ready. The email contact was very helpful, and sent the results to me. I then sent the results to Dr. Fraser. No idea if SimonMed ever provided anything to him.
And no idea what the ‘patient’ report that MK mentioned looks like. As I said, what the Cleerly rep sent me looks pretty comprehensive.
Dr. MK talks about some of the differences at 7:30 in this video
Thanks you for sharing this! While what you posted indeed looks very helpful I would prefer to get access to all the data I pay for and therefore will not be using SimonMed. For me it’s a matter of principle.
My CAC score is 0 and while I could have some noncalcified plaque, I will hold of on this exam until I can find a provider with more results transparency.
