Chelation potentiel of EDTA and IP6

Hello !

Lately, I seen a lot of discussion in this forum about Calcium deposition (CAC score) reversal. And also about the fact vitamin K2 fails to reverse it…

More than the potentiel of molecules to reverse it, Im first interested to get your opinion about 2 potentials chelator :

IP6 (phytate) and EDTA

From my understand they have a real chelation potential on calcium BUT, they are all sold already packaged… with calcium. You can just have a look on iherb.

I understand its because calcium (and magnesium) are ion needed to stabilise the molecules, but then HOW can they chelate extra calcium within the body ? Worst : you will potentially load with more calcium…

Can someone explain me how it is a good thing they all have a calcium attached ?

Regards,

EDTA does not work orally at all. When done with an IV, to get rid of calcium they use sodium EDTA, or Magnesium though they didn’t offer it where I had it done.

DMSA chelates calcium pretty well according to the literature, though I’m not sure it does any good for your all cause mortality. It is also really good for lead and cadmium (in case you like chocolate) it works orally and I have no side effects at all. Search in the search box up in the right hand corner here for chelation therapy for heart disease. Several studies there about it.

My CAC over the years has shown the calcium moving from the LAD, downstream to the other arteries. My LAD is now clean. I think since it takes years for the inflammation and infection to result in calcium deposits I’m still fighting something I started 6 years ago. All these further deposits were already on their way. The key is to stop development there with colchicine and beta cyclodextrin, possibly also doxycycline (low dose and I don’t do it because it makes me nervous too).

No chemist here to help reply this ?

IP6 (Phytate) is stable as loaded with calcium and magnesium, but still it will be broken down in the digestive tract and decrease calcification… But then the free calcium ion should be somewhere else ?
Its like a -1 +1 effect to me… Or I dont get something. ChatGPT was not able to explain me the net advantage.

But a study seems to show that it still work : Phytate reduces age-related cardiovascular calcification - PubMed (its loaded with calcium but still reduce age related calcification)
