I’ve been looking at AlphaGenome of my own genome and while there are some issues about the generalizability of Chip-Seq/ATAC-Seq/RNA-Seq to different populations (as I’ve noticed for SHBG), there were some notably low combined ATAC-Seq/Chip-Seq+RNA-Seq scores around RAN and some of the NPC proteins that could inhibit ability of TFs to get into the nucleus (causing less protein translation in general)
Weirdly, RAN hypomorphs might make it harder to get both cancer and viral infections just by inhibiting nuclear TFs from getting through (even at the cost of anabolism)
