Body water percentage from childhood to old age

I found this interesting as it looks like a relatively straightforward mechanism for tracking a form of biological age. How it compares to other mechanisms I don’t know, but it sounds an interesting thing to look at.

As you get fatter/less muscular your % body water must also decrease. Just track (visceral) fat and muscle, they are far more telling than water %

Body water percentage is lower if people are fatter. However, I am wondering if it is a good proxy for biological age.

Interesting. It’s got to be correlated with higher muscle (glycogen storage) and lower body fat, both of which would be good for health (within reason).
