I thought beta blockers were generally looked at with less favor over the past 10 years or so.

Wow he’s visibly aged a lot in the last few years. Vegan?

I would have liked to have seen a separate study on just Nebivolol or any other cardio selective 3rd generation beta blocker as I believe those are better than the old standard metoprolol (which I believe is the most prescribed and therefore, the most prevalent one used in the study if I had to gusss).

However, the result is still interesting because beta blockers reduce resting heart rate and you’d think that would reduce mortality.

Meanwhile, GLP1’s raise heart rate and actually do reduce mortality. I am not sure if they’ve been studied in post MI patients but still interesting
