I read somewhere (I think in an article about photobiomodulation) that if you eat a lot of green leafy things and then lay in the sun, the chloroplasts from the plants somehow get into your cells(or close enough?) and can make ATP for you out of the light.
Sounded crazy to me, but lots of stuff sounds crazy to me. This article makes it sound more likely.
Iβll bet this is just the sunβs NIR light and our own mitochondria. I donβt think we make energy from the sun (like plants) but the NIR light stimulates the mitochondria to make ATP (lowering blood glucose). Itβs just a guess.
