People who track the PWV metric, have you identified any significant improvements to it?
I’ve personally experimented with the following, which have varying degrees of evidence:
Aged garlic extract
Cocoa / chocolate
Hibiscus tea
Taurine
Tomato juice/paste (because of lycopene)
Blueberries
K2 MK7
Oranges (because of hesperidin)
Unfortunately, none of these have significantly altered the curve. However, I also measure PWV using the Withings Body Cardio, so its accuracy might be a factor.
My Oura ring 3 also measures this but like you not much seems to move the needle.
As well as the calculation the ring estimates how aligned with heart age your PWV is. Best Ive got to is ‘-3 tears’ below my heart age.
I too would be interested in advice.
Subjectively adding beetroot powder and nattokinase to my morning breakfast has been beneficial.
