Are you a prodigious and prolific member of our community?

I recently read a post by a member, @Joseph_Lavelle , who s preparing for his podcast episode on AGEs and I had no idea he even had a podcast. I know another member (@Krister_Kauppi ) has mentioned his podcast previously as well, and another member (maybe @Joseph ) may have mentioned us extensive blog on health/longevity. It occurred to me that the more educated members of this community may have podcasts and/or blogs as well (I don’t, at least not in this industry). I would love it if you have a podcast would you please let us know? — I personally listen to a lot of podcasts on health/longevity, particularly when at the gym, climbing stairs, or walking (w/wo the dog) and read blogs on this for my entertainment.

I thought the following bits of info would be appropriate:

o. The title of your podcast or blog
o. URL or other pertinent link
o. What is it? (Podcast? Blog? Etc.)
o. Where we can find it (on Apple Podcasts, Spotify, YouTube, etc) — may be more than one
o. Is it focused on health/longevity, or does it just occasionally have health/longevity topics
o. Maybe a social media channel for it?
o. Maybe roughly how long you’ve been doing it, or roughly how many episodes?
o. Anything else I am missing? — edit it in!

I’d recommend that we keep it to health/longevity focused podcasts, or at least those with more than occasional health/longevity topics would keep this from being business/spammy, but this is just a thought. For instance, I’m not including my business/industry media links because they aren’t relevant to this community in general. But this is a suggestion.

If there is already a repository of this, please feel free to delete this post and point me in the correct direction.

Looking forward to this!

I have a youtube channel that I have had for a long time, but more recently have put cellular health things on it. Also a blog.

I also put cellular health things on twitter.

A great idea, @Ericross2 I’ll put links at the bottom:

WiseAthletes podcast (website below, and on Apple, Google, and Spotify podcasts)
For older athletes seeking longevity in sport. The format is me asking “experts” (phd, md, experienced clinicians, etc.) questions about topics related to health (the foundation of performance) and athletic performance longevity (how to stay healthy and perform well for a long time). I try to stay away from people who just want to sell something, but my guests often do have a reason of their own to be on the podcast. I try to keep the sales pitch to a minimum but don’t forbid it. (Occasionally I will not publish an interview that was not fruitful). My frequent co-host is Glen Winkel, PhD who has been Masters World Champion in multiple cycling disciplines. We dabble in longevity because it is necessary for athletic longevity, and because I am interested in it (and I decide the topics). I foresee more and more longevity topics for WiseAthletes as I am evolving toward an emphasis on health vs. athletics, with some regret.

I hope you like it. I always learn a ton, and it gives me joy to hear that someone else enjoyed an episode.

Almost 3 years in, we have published 109 episodes, mostly around 60 minutes long.
Be sure to offer suggestions on topics and guests, including yourself if you think “wise athletes” would find you interesting and your topic valuable.

Great post, Eric! Here are some info on the podcast I started

Title: Master One Thing - Rapamycin Longevity Series

The goal with this science-based podcast is to deepen our knowledge about Rapamycin by interviewing researchers, physicians and other experts in the field. The podcast was started in the spring 2023 and I would like to keep it free from advertisement breaks. Currently I have been publishing an episode once every month but I don’t think this is sustainable long term so I lean more to release an episode every other month instead. The reason for this is that I want to have time for deep reflection, learning and for creating the unique high quality extra content for the youtube videos. But also so that I get enough mental and physical recovery time because every episode requires an investment of time and energy to make it good.

Currently the social media channel for the podcast is my twitter account where I also share my Rapamycin journey and other unique content focused on mainly Rapamycin.

I have only ever lurked in this forum, but in my defense, I have been a very dedicated lurker.

My name is John Bejakovic. I write Long Youthspan, a weekly email newsletter that covers the latest longevity news. The idea is to take the latest research and make it accessible and even fun to read.

The emails go out each Thursday. In case anybody would like to sign up for the next one, here’s the link:

I write books and articles about Stoic philosophy, which doesn’t directly relate to longevity – although I’d argue that Stoicism is a pretty effective tool for overcoming stress and living a healthier life.

Anyway, I also occasionally publish articles about fitness, like the one below . . . any traffic is good traffic, as far as I’m concerned.

“Painless Exercises to Practice Voluntary Discomfort”
Nah, I think I’ll pass on “voluntary discomfort”. :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:
However, I do take a cold shower after using the sauna.
