Now that even Sinclair has RT’d ketamine slowing epigenetic aging…
There are potential arylcyclohexylamines/“dissociatives” that are even more effective. MXE is one (hard to source now, but synthesis may become easier later)
[other examples include O-PCE, Mxipr, FXE, etc]. I have noticed that they are often more popular than traditional psychedelics, esp b/c they are less likely to be scheduled and way more tolerable/lucid than traditional psychedelics (much less likely to make people “crazy” than non-DMT psychedelics).
They are very experimental so there is always “experimental risk”, but if I were to make a guess, I would think that many (esp MXE/methoxetamine) are less risky than ketamine [the ketamine => bladder risk is discounted]. Also, them being mostly unknown makes the chances of a “very positive outcome” to one more likely than more known compounds.
Also, their level of experimentalness (and the reluctance of risk-averse drug companies to touch them) means that the ROI of investigating them on rowansci or orchestra-research or other agent platforms might be high-ROI
And since Bryan Johnson has gone after 5-MeO-DMT, maybe methoxetamine is gonna be next! It does seem to induce increases in wellness esp b/c you can take it more often than ketamine.
" ToolUniverse to make Claude more powerful for scientific discovery. Zitnik Lab And ToolUniverse is an ecosystem of 600+ scientific tools spanning drug discovery, genomics, proteomics — molecular docking predictors, literature retrieval APIs, Python-based modeling, statistical analyses" => maybe put methoxetamine there

AGI timelines are short, there are loads of ketamine clinics, and there’s now evidence K reduces brain aging
([for anyone like me] if there was ANY reason to hesitate before [eg bladder issues], there should be none after this paper). AND Albert Higgins Chen IS on that paper
I mean, I was an under-responder when I did K before, but it was in isolation (no repeat treatments) so ofc I would be an under-responder.
And there are so many ketamine clinics. Really, ketamine clinics will become more urgently needed as more people become mass-unemployed and need to find meaning in other ways
[mindbloom and innerwell have online mail-order K]. Really the lowest-risk way. Innerwell is cheapest

i did 45mg yesterday (S-isomer) and felt much better/clearer mind, and still feel much better today.

you still have to be careful about long-term effects due to bladder cystitis and this may still be where the alternatives (Mxipr, FXE, O-PCE, etc) could help, but ketamine (45mg) also doesn’t make you “slightly crazier” like the other dissociatives. Anyways, mistreated depression/rumination is so bad that it can be worth trying these other alternatives.
Anyhow one new analogue is 2-FDCK
ironically, shrooms a few days after ketamine might make the shrooms experience clearer/cleaner (and increase plasticity effects). But people don’t discuss therapeutic/neuroplastic uses as much as they discuss recreational uses, so ketamine followed by shrooms is barely discussed, whereas “whatever it’s called” + flipping gets way more discussion, which is kind of sad bc overcorrection to the excesses of recreational use makes therapeutic use less common than it should be.
And it’s very poorly investigated, even though its therapeutic effects could be significant.
I have tried alternate aryocyclohexylamines other than K on several occasions after 2021 and I don’t feel like they had long-term effects, but I only tried them so sparingly (only when a friend offered them and I decided to YOLO for the novelty bc it’s not like i have many chances to try them) that this is expected.
K has the cleanest mental feel because it’s (usually) not intended recreationally.
rly tho, if you’re a “non-responder to exercise” (or alternative pathways of rearranging the limit cycles & attractors/saddle points of your phenomenological cognitive reality - cf what bryan johnson said), K opens up the window for you to become an exercise-responder. K shows you it is possible but it doesn’t do all the work for you I know people say this for any psychedelic, but K at least is lucid enough to not be a waking dream.
