Anyone taking Nattokinase? Why not?

It’s all in the nuance of looking at how the details are presented.
I agree with most of your criticism of what was a review of multiple studies - which itself was not a study, but rather a (suboptimal) analysis of multiple studies. I think it could have been more useful if the reviewers had compared the low dose nattokinase (2000FU or less) studies to the higher dose (8000FU & higher) studies. Anyway…
In the video posted by CronosTempi, the patient was put on Nattokinase instead of appropriate lipid lowering therapies …. She did not want to take statins. So she got worse over time…… hence on to Statins etc….I hope.
In my case (metabolic syndrome ( mild HTN, glucose above optimal, and CVDz ( asymptomatic with CAC 250, Lp(a) 178, TG 125, HDL 32, ApoB now 67)), I’m a 75yo man (Levine BioAge 64) on maximum appropriate lipid lowering therapy…. Rosuvastatin 40mgqd, Ezetimibe 10mgqd, as well as Telmisartin 10mgqd, and although I’m only diabetic suspect with HbA1c max 5.8, now regularly 5.6, I take metformin 500mg bid, Acarbose 50mg tid, and the SGLT2i Jardiance 12.5mg daily. In addition, I use doxycycline 50mg daily, Tadalafil 5mgqd and Dutasteride 5mgqd. Oh, and rapamycin 6mg q 2 wks, as well as a stack of supplements, chosen for potential benefit after a thorough literature review. So my use of Nattokinase is in addition to other therapies, not instead of them. I’m doing all I can to optimize my health, rather than trying to avoid appropriate medications. It’s all in the nuance.

I believe there are two types of nattokinase—one removes the K and the other does not.
