What to do about inflammation?

I bought Deva. It seems to have good reviews and is sold on iHerb which has much fewer (none?) fake brands than Amazon.

Calcium AKG worked for me. I can’t see how it could have been anything else because
my CRP, triglycerides, and LDL all showed extreme improvement in the same blood
test last year, and CaAKG has been said to be able to do exactly that. I wouldn’t feel
so sure if it were just the CRP that was lowered.

My CRP had been averaging over 2.0 for the previous 10 years and it took a big jump
the year before last (to 3.5) just like what happened to you. That’s when I started taking CaAKG. Last year’s incredible result: 0.87

My guess is that it worked because of the inflammaging and senescent cell signaling
that becomes a problem in people when they reach a certain age. I’m now 80.
A couple of things that caught my attention:
“CaAKG consistently suppresses pro-inflammatory cytokines like IL-6 and TNE-alpha
while upregulating the anti-inflammatory cytokine IL-10.” (in animal studies)
“Plasma levels of AKG were found to be obviously lower in older adults compared to younger adults—from 1 mg/mL to a few ng/mL.”

You ought to give CaAKG a try (assuming you haven’t already), and retest later, and forget the aspirin, omega-3’s and drugs. What I take is 1000 mg every morning, and
I get it from Prohealth.

Some info I recently came across related to inflammation:

Statins, bempedoic acid, ezetimibe, fibrates, and PCSK9 inhibitors, all lower inflammation and hsCRP.

Multiple trials have proven this.

Here are the average amounts by which they lower hsCRP:

Statins - 17.3%

Bempedoic acid - 20%

Ezetimibe - 3.2%

Fibrates - 10.3%

PCSK9i - 6%

(For comparison, fish oil lowers hsCRP by about 12.8%.)

Part of the reason why they all do this is because high LDL itself can be inflammatory. When LDL gets inside the arterial wall and oxidizes, it attracts immune cells which generate inflammation. This raises levels of hsCRP and other inflammatory markers.

Thank you all for the suggestions. Already doing many of them but just started Tributyrin (Deva ,thank you Strider) and ordered LDN.

Please post your results when you eventually retest your HS-CRP.
