Man, I sure hope this is true. I can’t wait to get this news from a big name source ie New York Times, WSJ, etc. I asked CHATGPT but it was not confirmed. Please let me know if someone hears more about this.
Full details here from our friends at the CBP:
Fantastic! Me so happy…
I guess it is a good sign that he may TACO the entire thing. It’s nice to have 3 more months to get stores in line for the next several years but it’s a bit like celebrating that the strait of Hormuz has been opened (it hasn’t) when it wasn’t closed initially. So tired of of this administration. Two more years…
It’s good news. Now maybe my package will get through to the USA by the new deadline! ![]()
Trump administration delays new rule that could restrict imported medicines
Well, this appears to be a good thing, but it also appears to be short-term and highly politically designed to affect the 2026 Mid-Term Elections.
Trump may have noticed that the people who pay tariffs are the purchasers not the sellers.
I don’t think he really has any depth of understanding in that area. His “team” likely does most of his thinking and he does lots of public appearances.
Trumps team has a lot of messes to deal with right now and several involve India. There is the flood of Indian immigrants to the US and Canada, ship to ship oil transfers from Iran to India, and the desire to reshore some US pharmaceutical production, etc. Part of the reason for the new rule may be one of several measures to pressure India. I’m not intending to argue a political position on any issue, merely observing that “sanctions “ often involve numerous measures that seem unrelated.
Today’s update from Jagdish:
Hello Sir, I hope you are doing well!
We are pleased to inform you that the parcels recently dispatched by RL PHARMA to the USA have been successfully delivered.
We have received an update that the mandatory prescription requirement has been postponed. Accordingly, new orders may currently be processed without a prescription, subject to applicable US regulations.
However, we recommend placing an order for a maximum of a three-month supply to minimize potential customs-related complications. Once a parcel arrives in the USA, the clearance process is handled by US Customs, and RL PHARMA cannot intervene in their clearance decisions.
At RL PHARMA, we believe in complete transparency and honest communication. We want to ensure that you understand the possible limitations before placing an order so we are making everything clear before placing the order because we don’t want to make any false promises with you.
Your trust is important to us. We are committed to supplying genuine medicines and following all applicable regulations to the best of our ability.
Thank you for your continued trust and support. We look forward to serving you with honesty and care.
Send me your requirements so that i will send you the proforma invoice and bank details.
Regards,
Jagdish
Fwiw, one of my medications was turned back on the India side. My seller, Aviora Exim, contacted me so that she could re-send part of the package (the non-problematic meds ) with some more prescriptions of equivalent value to the one that was removed. Unfortunately, that was a bit tricky, as it was my most expensive prescription, but I also couldn’t get the number of pills too high for one package.
But she thinks that the restriction for that med on the India side should be canceled very soon. So maybe with the new 90 day policy in place, I can still get it.
I am waiting on three other packages that are already long en route from another seller but whose tracking I can’t see.
We should do a group buy. We’d have to weigh out the appropriate amounts, but savings would be substantial.
I see that you take J147. Have you noticed any effects?
For me, it’s had the most obvious physical and mental effects. Exercise endurance, retention of muscle mass and strength are the most noticeable effects. There are certain pathologies that respond in days. Some are as close to miraculous as I’ve ever seen.
Then there’s typically a mood boost, sometimes substantial, in others, not so much. I don’t know why that is.
I will add that labs, across the board, have been stable and not one out of range. Of course that’s an “n” of one.
That’s a fair synopsis.
And, you’ve also been taking rapamycin since 2012. That’s 14 years which is likely longer than the vast majority of people on this site. Do you mind telling how you first heard of Rapamycin? And, of course, I’m interested in your dosing protocol and any effects you’ve noticed whether beneficial or not. Thanks.
My shipment from France hast been delayed at customs in Chicago and placed on hold. They sent me an email requesting additional information. I had to fill out 3 different forms including a signed and dated letter of Intended Use. Two other forms asked the name of the manufacturing facility, its address and tel number. The manufacturer in Switzerland happens to have several manufacturing facilities in Europe. I had to use AI to obtain that info. Took me about two hours. What a headache. And I still don’t know if the shipment is going to be delivered. Hope I can get my refund if it’s not.
Hi Rob,
Do you know if the Indian pharmacies carry Rapa in the low doses used in the Simmarron study for ME/CFS? I think it is 1.5mg, 3mg, but much lower than for other purposes?
Best,
Janet
How did they get your email address? Also how big was your order?
Hi Janet,
I’m only familiar with a few pharmacy suppliers but I only see 1.0 and 5.0 mg tablets. Some brands are better assimilated than others. You can get current on that discussion here: Rapamycin requires enteric coating, but has a score line?
Rob
Possibly a bad sign
My shipment from India arrived at the Queens, NY distribution center on the 13th with an estimated delivery date to my door on the 17th. There were no tracking updates after the 13th. When the 17th passed (yesterday) the deliver date was removed from the USPS system with no new date or movement replacing it.
