You would need to locate a pharmacy that will accept WITHOUT a “diagnosis code” .
As you are using this “off label”, I do not think a prescribing physician will place a “diagnosis code” for an “off label” use . This would just place the prescribing physician under a microscope.
Its not the pharmacy its the insurer/payer. Medicare part D carrier. They must be willing to pay. The pharmacy is asking the dr for “the diagnosis”. I’m suspecting for me in the US under medicare and my part D carrier, United Health, I’ll not get rapa 1mg x 100, covered. I’ll just continue using my Indian Sirolimus… This was an experiment by my Dr to see if US rapa is better absorbed then Indian. There’s some logic that predicts this could be true.
You guys getting rapa paid for must have a suitable diagnosis code and you just didn’t realize it. Guessing.
For me, the prescribing physician I used did not and would not provide a “diagnosis code” as this is for off label use.
The same during “COVID”, if you wanted Ivermectin {which I did and used] the physician would not provide a “diagnosis code” as it was off label use, and the physician did not want to be questioned.
I am fortunate that my insurance pays without the diagnosis code.(You can located a pharmacy that will fill the prescription without a
diagnosis code you have to look and ask) With the Ivermectin I paid out of pocket/ cash for the entire amount as the insurance demanded a diagnosis code, as soon as I said I would pay out of pocket the pharmacy did not require or care about the diagnosis code.
Getting just what I request/use as they will only pay one prescription {rapamycin] per 28 days.
In my view;
Getting greedy cause issues with the insurance and the physician.
Like people that try to order{from overseas] several hundred tablets, when the package is stopped because you try to get more than a 90 day supply. What you do is bring you and the sender under a microscope.
Im now on 15 MG compound formula for about two months. Also taking Metformin either 500MG or 1000. On days I bike ride for two hours I only take 500MG in evening. The bike riding does its on Apothogy so no need to take the Metformin before going for my rides.
