“Dunbar loved shooting skeet because he hated every minute of it and the time passed so slowly.”
“You’ve got flies in your eyes,” Yossarian repeated. “That’s probably why you can’t see them.”
@blsm Agree 100% on dapagliflozin!
My labs were always good, but my cgm would go crazy every time I ate anything, and there was no amount of fat I could add that curtailed those crazy spikes (well over 180). It gave me a fear of food and my diet was so boring that so was I…
I can now live my life and eat with no battle going on in my brain ![]()
@adssx I don’t know anything you don’t, but I recently learned here that sglt2s supposedly cut our lithium dose in half, so I started taking 2mg of lithium vs 1mg. Would love to hear your thoughts on that.
Telmisartan increases lithium. I’m taking both, so it’s roughly even, and I still take Li 1 mg.
If you want, you can test your lithium levels. John does this.
I have been buying my Rapa from
Profound health without a prescription. They don’t stock anymore. Do you have a source? I have been using 5mg/wk
Have read research that says that the most significant predictor of healthy longevity is: social connection, support, companionship, and also a sense of purpose. So: as a retired person who no longer has automatic work-based connections, some of my longevity interventions (and it goes without saying, this is in addition to exercise/sleep/diet): find new potential friends with common interests (my book club, art club,) frequent dinners with friends,) staying close to grown son and his family and friends from the past. I am not naturally an outgoing person, so the effort to maintain social connection is a bit of “exercise” for me.
I agree add
Nad. Nasal
Ldn 4.5mg capd
Rapamycin 5mg/wk
Coq10
Protein powder
Row/bike/weights
Meditation
74yr old
I know this is old but might as well do this again. Let’s assume a healthy middle aged male for this.
- Statins
- SGLT2’s
- Rapamycin
- Acarbose
- PDE5’s
We can flip the order but I would say those five classes of drugs are probably the best with the available evidence we have. Rapamycin and Acarbose don’t quite have the human data the others have but it’s feasible to predict they eventually will from the animal data.
Honorable mention I would first say Ezetimibe. Then I would say GlyNAC. Those GlyNAC studies were small but they were consistent with a HUGE effect (in elderly or HIV patients at least).
I probably could have included GLP1’s there too ^
Is there any good evidence that GLP1s benefit people who are already metabolically healthy and thin?
Yes - lots, it seems. But these studies seem to be still looking at use in overweight populations, so I don’t think the studies have been done on “thin” people yet.

Not claiming that these are the best 5 anti-aging supplements for everyone. These are the ones I am currently taking based on my own research and what I think is best for an 85-year-old male. These are the ones I would choose if I could only choose 5. I, of course, take many others.
- Rapamycin—high weekly dose of ≥ 8 mg.
- Melatonin—high dose ≥ 120 mg
- Metformin or other glucose-lowering drugs. I am currently taking the Japanese drug Imeglyn.
- Statins
- Lithium orotate 5 -20mg
What’s your source for Imeglyn if you could share pls. I cannot take Metformin bc it may contribute to acidoses in my situation, and I cannot take Berberine either.
Oddly, I took metformin for decades when suddenly my body would no longer tolerate it. I even switched to timed release, but it still gave me lower digestive tract problems. I don’t like berberine either because for me it was not effective.
I have been taking the Zydus brand of imeglimin, 1,000 mg, twice a day, morning and evening.
I have been taking it for about 1 week, and so far I am very pleased. Zero side effects, and even though in RCTs it was slightly less effective than metformin, I have found it to be more effective.
I bought the Zydus brand from Maulik.

I read about it - it’s kidney friendly, which is the main thing for me. How to connect with Maulik - I never ordered anything from India.
The question is what dose of Ozempic for knee regeneration? On another note, I was listening to Andrew Hubernan and he stated that for him personally Nmn sublingual increased his hair growth (anecdotal)
I sent you an email message.
The retrutide phase 3 trials saw some very significant knee improvement as well at pretty much every dose
Hope it will gain approval soon
Can you provide me with info on Maulik please? Thank you
