The Longevity matrix

Lots of optimistic views on the future hinge on us getting dramatically more power through superhuman AI. But power that can make things exponentially better can also make things exponentially worse.

Anyone who sees superhuman AI helping solve aging has to also acknowledge that it could also be used to create the deadliest bioweapon ever. Power to do great things is also power to do terrible things.

Also more power makes even accidental mistakes more damaging. Hitting a bump at 10mph is no big deal, but hitting a bump at 100mph is a disaster.

@Krister_Kauppi 's latest version of the Longevity Matrix.

I think I’m somewhere between Matt K. and Mikhail B.

How about you?

I think you’ve tried enough things to put you on the right side of the y-axis.

How can there be any space to the right of Bryan johnson? What won’t he do?

And anything above Aubrey and Peter Diamandis
who say the “lifespan escape velocity” is almost here!

I think there needs to be a 3rd dimension: “willingness to believe” (believe anything that sounds possible vs. only with repeated RCT)

You mean a 3rd dimension - naïveté?
