Science.bio closes

I just received the following email from Science.bio, my trusted source of Rapamycin powder and in solution for use in toothpaste, hair tonic, and skin cream.

Getting more difficult and more expensive.

It is with a heavy heart that we announce Science.bio will be permanently closing today.

All outstanding orders will be either fulfilled or fully refunded. If you have an open order or need assistance, our support team will remain available.

To be clear, we are closing for regulatory compliance reasons. We will not be returning and while we are remiss we are overall grateful for the institutions and public servants that protect us.

With that said, we would like to thank every one of you for your continued support and advocacy since the beginning of this project. We are so humbled by your support and are wishing all of you the very best in your own journey.

With Gratitude,
Team Science.bio

Yes - I suspect we’ll see a lot more of this happening this year. I’m hearing that any of the “research chemical” companies that are really obviously marketing to consumers will likely get shut down by the FDA.

And new laws being passed targeted at Peptides too. Stock up now if you have a good supplier… it may be more difficult in the future (though, it may be like ordering medicines from India, and just a temporary speedbump).

See this post on the new laws being passed: NYT: Chinese Peptides are Latest Biohacking Trend in Tech Industry - #33 by RapAdmin

These guys previously “permanently” closed in 2022. We’ll see when they’ll be back.

I’ve been searching for powder and I just got this quote from someone mentioned on the site a few years ago. I have not ordered yet.

I think it’s best not to out them publicly, but if this sounds good, pm me and I’ll share their email address.

Harrumph! Anyone have a comparably cheap source of capromorelin?

I wonder if any GLP1 vendors would be able to provide rapamycin? My last parcel is being held at Customs atm though…

Very unlikely. Go through India.

I tried India and they told me no because of customs. Also, aren’t you worried about purity? I can send peptides to labs to get tested, which I have done before, but rapamycin … no clue where I’d test that.

You are talking to the wrong source then. This forum has some resources for sourcing from India. You get genuine generic pharmaceutical products from India, unlike China. Decent brands is Zydus, and some even have Pfizer.

The only reason you would want powdered rapamycin is for topical cream (or toothpaste) type applications.

Powdered rapamycin gets destroyed the gut, without proper protection (special coating or formulation), and there is also the potential purity / contaminants issue with the powdered rapamycin from some sketchy middleman. And while you can do testing, the cost of HPLC analysis or MassSpec can easily exceed the cost of the rapamycin powder, so if you’re taking it orally, go for the tablets.

It’s interesting because peptides are one of RFK’s favorite topics (for better or worse). I haven’t heard any specific actions being taken to increase access to more legit peptide sources.

Is this Wuhan Hengheda Pharm Co?
