Recovering from Holiday Indulgences?

I recently started to drink specialty beetroot juice, they are great for a pick-me-up without the guilt.

I don’t know all the details, but I think there is potentially some benefit in Nitrogen processing (either Nitrates or Nitrites)

Nope. Grapefruit makes hunger disappear. If I ate 3 grapefruit spread throughout the day I would feel zero hunger for 24 hours

Nitric oxide is useful.

I agree and that is why I think there is an additional benefit from eating pickled beetroot.

Just get semaglutide and do a 5-day fast. The half-life of semaglutide is perfect for it

nusciencepeptides is a source

It’s a good question. I only discovered the effect when I shifted to fasting while taking rapa with GFJ (I used an actual grapefruit). I have since used grapefruit (1 for each of 3 meals) to painlessly transition into a very low calorie day (300 calories approx) for weight loss.

I think enjoying the holidays with family and friends far outweighs the negative consequences that can easily be resolved with a 72 hour water fast. I normally fast every 60 days so squeezing one in on January 2 is a no-brainer.

But yes, I can definitely feel the after effects of eating desserts and loading up on carbohydrates, bread, pies, and cakes, that I would normally never eat. There is certainly some bloating and just gneral feelings of discomfort and low energy.
