Rapamycin and your regular doctor

Perhaps needless to say, not all naturopathic schools are created equal.

i certainly do not have a regular doctor and have been doing rapa and other things more than a year. maybe u should get rid of the doctor since they are of zero use unless u need surgery. otherwise why on earth would u spend money on them.

My ‘regular doctor’ knows. I told them I am taking it. I also said I am part of the University of WA study with Matt K to give some legitimacy to my effort(s) (which is true!! ) . They have been great about blood tests and whatnot that I ask for. Since they aren’t writing the script… because I get it in India… I get the sense they feel less liability.

My regular doctor belongs to one of the large hospital systems here in Houston, and I knew that it was going to be difficult to convince him to prescribe rapamycin. I found a general release for drug trials on line and I adapted the release for rapamycin. Sure enough when I asked for him to prescribe rapamycin he pushed back…I handed him the release and he agreed that since I had released him and the hospital system from any liability including death he would prescribe rapamycin. I’ve been on it for about a year now.

The possibility is that you don’t always know what you don’t know. Could you have hypertension or diabetes, or renal insufficiency ? Are you up to date on immunizations? Have you been screened for cancer? If you need specialty care, who’s going to refer you?

  1. Yes my GP doc knows I take rapamycin…she wrote my rapamycin Rx
2/ She does not help me with my dose…I’ve educated her and she writes Rx for what I want. I am currently taking 10 mg once weekly.
  2. Yes…I educated my GP MD about rapamycin…I gave her a copy of my book Rapamycin, mTOR, Autophagy & Treating mTOR Syndrome to read.
  3. For people who can not find an MD woh will write a rapamycin Rx for them, I refer them to Steve Warren, MD who is a Regenerative Medicine & Longevity Specialist who does telemedicine visits for people who want to take rapamycin. His phone is 801-797-5901.
