Rapamune trial in Uk

I’ve just had an invite the my local University’s trial: Rapamune.
Obviously I’m ineligible as I take Rapamycin already.
Looks like a 1mg per week dose in men over 50 and assessing impact on muscle.

Interesting. I wonder how they decided on that dose?

What a waste of clinical trial time and money… 1mg/week is borderline homeopathic dosing. Sad to see really. Thankfully there are more rationally designed clinical trials being done: Everolimus Aging Study (EVERLAST) Trial Begins! - #21 by RapAdmin

Its too bad they are not communicating with the other groups doing clinical trials on rapamycin.

Ah - good news, I dug down and its not 1mg per week, its 1mg per day:

Experimental: Drug group
Will take 1mg Rapamune (sirolimus) in oral tablet form daily for 16 weeks.

Much better… but still not what I would do (I’d do weekly dosing).

Yes at 6 mg weekly… I had measurable increases in strength and weights sets every 3 months.

Would increase 15 pounds across all machines. Started at 90 pounds chest flies… today doing 190 pounds. Crazy increases.
