Oral Hyaluronic Acid Revisited - Hit It or Quit It?

Consider Topical Ascorbic Acid serum? Consider Topical Niacinamide serum? Topical application means much higher amounts getting to epidermis than with supplementing.

Recently, in different thread @rapadmin shared an AI list of things to do for our health/skin that included oral high molecular weight hyaluronic acid… so of course I ‘added to cart’.

We know AI can be misleading and I just read something that said, due to absorption issues, high molecular weight might be worse than consuming low to medium weight… but, as usual, I see conflicting things.

That leads me to revisit this old thread to see what the latest thinking might be

Anyone have thoughts on low vs high?

Also, I usually take capsules. If anyone wants to comment on the taste of powder, by all means

I was just revisiting this and found this from Dr Brad.

I’m confused about high molecular weight and low molecular weight HA and which one to choose. BJ was taking low molecular weight HA (Triple Strength HA by Pureclinica).

@LaraPo it was time for me to purchase, so I’ve been peppering perplexity with questions and ‘she’ convinced me that HMW is superior for skin thickening, but other weights might be great for hydration and wrinkles etc… see below.

(You could read a newspaper through my skin, so I’m going to try HMW)
