we have no idea on the dose, duration, etc. for rapamycin’s optimal results.
Clinical trials needed… $10s to $100s of millions needed for placebo controlled human clinical studies.
Funding - where would it come from for rapamycin?
Just to be able to patent / IP /need to sell drugs to recoup the cost of the clinical trials.
She sees this lack of funding as the key issue holding back rapamycin, and why they are doing Tornado and have patents around IP / rapalogs that they can then get investments for the money needed for clinical trials…
