Keith, that’s great to hear! I am ready to start on klotho due to its many good effects, but also I am specifically interested in adding bone density, and this paper suggests that the type of klotho available at BuckyLabs (and I confirmed this with them) is the type that was shown to be potentially harmful to bones in this paper that just came out in Nature, whereas the shorter secreted type has a positive effect. They said that they will try to get the s klotho in the future. You didn’t happen to do a DEXA scan before and after, did you? https://www.nature.com/articles/s41598-023-31117-6
I’m 76 and T levels are good (913), but free and bioavailable T just average. Too much binding in the serum apparently (SHBG 100, 22-77 being normal.) Not sure how to change that.
I have not found the other K isoform, but haven’t looked much after BuckyLabs indicated that they are running low and would try to get it in the future. If you come up with a source I would like to know! thanks. Anxious to get started. I also inquired about their GDF11 which they advertise as 90% pure. I haven’t been able to get an answer as to what the other 10% is…which seems troubling to me. I have been interested to start it with Steve Perry, but cost has been an issue-in the past I hesitated at $7,500, but he is now up to $15,000, although the GDF11 itself is cheap. Apparently it takes a lot of monitoring.
I did some peptides for a while, but I didn’t find them very effective.
I tried TB4 and BPC 157 for some tendon and muscle injuries but it didn’t seem to have a noticeable effect.
I looked into trying Humanin and Klotho but i was a little nervous with the dosing strategies. How long have you been taking it for? Do you have to reconstitute it?
Six hours supplementation showed a significant decrease on sex hormone binding globulin (SHBG), high sensitive CRP (hsCRP) and TNF-α level. After one week (in samples taken at 8.00 A.M, only), the mean plasma free testosterone increased and the mean plasma estradiol decreased significantly.
Very interesting, thanks. They apparently gave them 10mg/day. I have been taking it for years (1.5-3mg) in LEF daily multi, and in fact increased it by another 3mg/day a couple months ago for its effect on bone. I should repeat the T/freeT test to see if any effect as my last one was 3 years ago. Time flies!
Hi Keith,
Would you be so kind to tell us your Klotho dosage, do you inject IM ?
On checking Buckylabs , they only sell a-klotho 25ug at $218. is it the one you are using?
I have reported earlier that my plasma phosphate levels, which were stable and “normal” since at least 2018, halved after I started using Klotho. (From Buckylabs).
IMO it is the Klotho level that determines phosphate; not the other way around.
I was taking 100 pg once per week. Currently on a break. I inject subcutaneously. I haven’t noticed any other benefits such as “glowing skin” etc. (I still have a face like a crocodile!)
But I hope my phosphate levels remain low.
On 16th Sept, Keith posted that Klotho improved his blood pressure. It also gives him a boost in his workouts and was able to move up in weights and broke through some plateaus. It also improved his skin very quickly, in 2 weeks he notice a difference, way more than topical rapamycin or ghk-cu ever did.
I therefore very much interested his treatment plan.
