Doing a 5-Day Prolon Fast Interesting HRV Changes

I started my second 5-Day Prolon Fast Mimicking diet this week. I am on Day 3 today. First, I like the program, it is hard but good. Last night my Whoop showed an 83 HRV and my normal average is 50. And my RHR was 43 and is usually closer to 50. Interesting data, loosely described measurable Autophagy.

Very interesting! Some people see the same increase when using rapamycin… I wonder it it’s a way to compare rapamycin dosing with fasting. Do you see a dose response?

Interesting! How does it taste and how do you feel as far as satiety and stamina etc? Keep us posted!
I dosed my rapa Monday evening and then I generally do a dry fast (only drink water) for 36 hrs. Here is the RHR for Monday and Tuesday night plus HTV trends.

@RapAdmin you like to keep things tidy - which I respect greatly. Answer your question in HRV thread: Rapamycin and Impact on heart rate and HRV? - #168 by KFISH

I do see an HRV boost with Rapa (most times) dose but not as high as Prolon fast.

Food is decent - vegan, healthy, no seed oils or bad junk. Pretty tasty. In terms of feeling full - day 1 is easiest with 1,150 calories, days 2-4 are 800. So you do have periods of feeling hungry and having your belly grumble but it isn’t nearly as bad as a 5-day water fast. I have been working out but not as hard as usual and i have moments of extreme mental clarity and others of feeling a bit slow. My sleep is better than a water fast too and my dreams are vivid. Again - IMO this is doable and works.
