Great question!
I can’t point to a specific interview because I have a memory like a sieve, but I’ve personally heard him talk about protein no less than a million times and how we should eat 1 gram per pound.
Time and time again, I’ve also heard him talk about how he accomplishes that goal by eating many of his jerky sticks each and every day… and since then, his other podcast friends say they do the same.
I heard him talk about how there are no protein bars that are good out there (maybe that was on insta, I’m not sure), and then I heard him talking about his new bar. I have not heard him talk about his bar that often though (caveat, I listen to him less and less often these days as I’m no longer enamored with him)
In the video that Cronos Tempi posted, they say he advised the high protein in his book as well. I read the book but I just didn’t remember that part…*see no memory above
Note, this disappointment comes from someone that used to be one of his biggest fans. I even made contact with some of his patients to see if I wanted to consider getting in… THAT is how much I admired him. (Fwiw, I heard ‘rip off’ more than one time… but having said that, if I were a billionaire, I might have just done it because why not… but alas, I’m not even close!).
EDIT: not Attia related, but it just gave me a glimpse into how the podcast bros operate… I was watching a podcast with Andy Galpin and Huberman in which they were discussing their top supplements… at the end, they realized they forgot to say AG1 and they giggled and said, oh yes, that is my top supplement… they were obviously lying and wink winking to each other… I notice these types of things and I don’t think most of their audience does… they thought it was subtle enough to leave in and not edit it out.
EDIT 2
Just received this in my inbox … on same topic @CronosTempi
